Frontdesk is looking for a full-time staff accountant to assist in the accounting, finance, and back office operations of the company.  Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Staff Accountant will work closely with the Accounting and Human Resources staff in supporting transactional accounting processing (including coding transactions and monthly reconciliations), bill payment, general accounting tasks, and handling full-cycle accounting for all our operations. This individual will also support the Finance Director, the CEO, and other members in the Accounting Department in the monthly closing process and financial data analysis, as well as providing back-up support for all areas of the company as needed.

This position is full-time and pays between $40,000 - $55,000/ year, depending on experience. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform chart of accounts, G/L control accounts, period status, and other general ledger maintenance activities.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations, prepare key monthly journal entries, and monitor the month-end closing.
• Perform monthly analysis of general accounting and budget to actual comparisons.
• Maintain master monthly hotel/lodging tax files and process/submit/pay monthly tax returns.
• Track employee timekeeping, review payroll master data, resolve payroll issues, & complete payroll adjustments.
• Monitor company credit card expenditures
• Perform administrative tasks including applying for local city short term rental licenses and permits
• Act as an administrative back-up for the Finance Manager. Back up other staff members on transaction processing.
• Other accounting, ad-hoc analysis or administrative tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager/CFO.

Qualifications Required:

• Ideally possess a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in finance or accounting, or related business program
• Quickbooks experience a plus
• Strong G-Suite and Microsoft Office skills - especially Google Sheets/Excel
• Great communication/interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and assessment powers
• Ability to be productive while juggling multiple tasks
